For People Who Like to Make Things Themselves

[music |cradle of filth]

hey! i need some help. i found a dragonfly awhile back, it was dead. but i would like to preserve it somehow. its still intact and looks cool. i dont know how to keep it looking nice though. do i use a spay to seal it? how would i preserve it in glass or something similiar? im not sure what my options are and what i need to do to!!! any suggestions? or any help would be much appreciated!

Let it dry completely. Then mount it in a shadow box. I use a piece of foam core as the backing, and simple sewing pins. I don't put the pin through the insect, but rather use angles into the foam core to keep the insect in place.

This is just what I have done in the past. I am not a profession at this by any means.

You could get some clear casting epoxy, and cast it in any shape you want, even something wearable.
